#Thailand#Surin#Mueang Surin#Attraction Over the past 100 years, Surin has undergone many major changes both economically, socially and politically, as well as the way of life with many important events occurring; especially when the construction of the railway arrived in Surin in the year 1926
However, nowadays, old pictures and stories of Surin are scattered among families and a number of old documents; and many more have been lost over time (fire, floods on houses, eaten by termites or disappeared). It has not been compiled into a systematic local knowledge set.
For this reason, the event "Old Pictures Telling the Stories of Surin" was organized for the first time in July 2004 and organized 4 more times at Phai Saran Stage, 3 times at Surin Railway Station; and organized as a storytelling activity to enhance reading skills and exchanging learning experiences of the old students with the new generation at schools in Surin, and together with other agencies 13 times, a total of 21 times, from 2004 to 2008
Part of it is to disseminate the information that has been collected into a data set, and exhibition series for the benefit of local people and those who are interested
There is also an activity called “Tales of Khum Wat people” to collect storiesof the elderly in temple community. These events were well received by the locals. Although the work is not great because it can be arranged according to the strength that a small group of people can only do
